Ruth is "the science department" for Blue Valley High School in Randolph, KS. Every year she teaches Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy, and Physics. Other subjects she has taught at this small school include AP Biology, Applied Statistics and Applied Science, and Genetics. She is actively involved in the National Science Teachers Association, and was a state nominee for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching in 2013.
